Downtown PoCo Member Spotlight: Ahmed and Hamed from Day 2 Day Halal Restaurant
Day 2 Day Halal Restaurant is family-owned and operated. We got to know Ahmed and Hamed, the brothers who act as the Manager and Chef for the restaurant. Immigrants from Malaysia, they learned to become chefs at just 14 and 15 years old. They took over the restaurant in 2022 and have been in business for a year and half.
Inspired by their customers in Malaysia, the brothers have created a restaurant where everything is cooked fresh and the breads are cooked in the traditional way.
They are passionate about the interactions they make with their customers. Since downtown PoCo is a small community, they want to welcome everyone in their restaurant.
“Food is for everyone, not just for a specific nationality. If they want to try new cuisine, they are very welcome to visit our shop.”
